yes - Spook, sound asleep IN my box of nice black fabric that I have been using to make crazy quilt blocks!
(oops - I moved the other box off the top of it when I was looking for something in there the other day ... and I SHOULD have put it back ;-)
This is a rather messy blog. Sometimes I post fairly often, and sometimes I don't ...

Oops - the thingy I had here died ... (the one below still seems to work though, but I don't think either of them have actually made me any money yet ...)
... this one probably works ... I wonder if anyone will click on it? does anyone click on the adds? (I guess someone does or they wouldn't still be a thing - lol)
I think I am supposed to list 5 things I intend to do/change ... hopefully stuff I am already doing counts? ... we already have energy saving shower heads and light globes, I try to walk places instead of driving if I can (but unfortunately most places I go are too far for that), and the sprinklers in the garden have not been turned on for at least a couple of years (at the times when the water restrictions have been eased to allow sprinklers, there has been enough rain that we didn't actually need to use them - because the garden is mostly native plants, and the bit of watering I have done has been with a hose from the washing machine ;-)
Our new washing machine is one of those fancy front loaders that uses hardly any water, and DH (dear husband) and I seem to be forever turning lights off after the kids have left them on (I also tend to turn lights off at my friend's place too ... too bad if it drives her and her partner nuts or anything - they really don't need to have every light on in the house!). I have also planted quite a few trees when I have gone to help on projects with Landcare/Greening Australia/etc.
oh - and I also recycle/re-use stuff if I can ... especially yarn and fabric - LOL (yes I am into textile art/quilting/crochet/etc - and I like the whole idea of "patchwork" being about using recycled/scrap fabric to create something useful and/or artistic)
... but I do need to try and not spend quite so long in the shower ...
(and I probably should remember to take that bucket down to the bathroom, so I can collect the water while I wait for it to get hot enough to get in, and use it on the front garden or whatever)
Brilliant photo, so typical.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a cat called the Spook aka later Spookie- she always looked spooked!

Why do they always choose the black fabrics? Could be worse - you could have a very large all-white cat like what I've got! Of the other two, one has a distinct preference for luxury fabrics like silk and velvet
