Crumbs! - I still didn't take those Crochet photos, but ...

... I Can post about the Craft and Quilt show, for ABC Wednesday, instead - LOL

well ... I could have, if I had logged back in here and DONE that - yes - this post has been saved as a half finished draft for a few weeks ... LOL
(instead of it actually being about anything much, this is probably one of my most boring blog posts ever!)
Then I Can also mention that my Creative Clothing Challenge entry Came second in that Catagory! woo hoo!

actually ... photos of first/second/third in each catagory are up on the Canberra Quilters website ( http://www.canberaquilters.org.au/ ... there is a link to the 2010 exhibition - the photos are in there)

but ... I Can't post a photo yet, because I have not taken one yet ( I kind of finished and delivered my stuff at the last minute and figured that photos Could wait until they were all nicely displayed and well lit and stuff at the quilt show - lol)

I have taken one now ... but it isn't on the computer yet, and I probably wouldn't put it in here if it was - I will just post this in a hurry and do another post with some other photos as well ... it just might not be right now/today ... maybe not even this week if I know myself as well as I probably should by now ... lol
(so in the meantime you will just have to look at the one photo that is on that Canberra Quilters website - lol)

hmmm ... 4 days until the linky thingy Closes ... should just give me time to add a Couple of photos to this post and post it in time to Catch my Chance to be in the C list with this post ... if I remember to finish typing it and add the photos, that is ... (not doing that now - it is way later than someone who is going to be busy at the Quilt show all weekend should still be awake, especially on a night where I have to get up for work in the morning!)

btw, I Can post some Crochet stuff as "Finished stuff" or something, for an "F" post (except I think I already have 2 other F ideas I didn't do last time around - Funghii, and Four wheel drive show ... and Floods - but those last 2 are actually the same thing - so I guess I will have to do that for F so it will make sense ... and I will have to Find a way to make my Crochet stuff work as another letter)

er ... scrap that last idea ... we are not UP to the letter F this week and I think I ought to post about "Finished stuff" ... especially seeing I have people waiting to see what I have been making lately ... LOL

btw, this post is also a test for something ... to see what happens now that I (think I) have set it up so my posts appear on Facebook ... which I don't usually use (I don't really have time, and I am not sure I even like it much - lol), but I seem to have ended up messing around with it a few times in the last few days ... as if I need another place to go and get "lost in cyberspace" in ...

... I WAS going to walk the dog a couple of hours ago ... still have not gone yet ... decided to have a coffee before I go rather than wait until I get back ... coffee is not finished (and I might have another one when I get back - but in order to do that - first I have to actually GO ...

This was going to be a post about ... Eggs, etc? ... but now it isn't.

But it isn't now.

I actually did type a post about Eggs, which I was going to leave as a draft until about 3 weeks time when we are up to the letter E with ABC Wednesday (this week is the letter B, which I actually posted already) ... but then I found I already had a half typed E post that I never posted last time we were up to E (which will be Easy to add to and use when the time comes), and also realised that the egg post probably belongs better on Huh? anyway - so I just cut and pasted it into that blog, and posted it - so you can find it over here

but ... while I am logged in, and have this now almost Empty post in the Editor  (oh I don't need to highlight those E words by using capitals - it is a bit too Early for an E post, and I don't need yet another one here - Else I will just have to move one to another blog as well - lol)
so ... now that I have decided to use this post as a weird way to put a link to that other post (on the other blog) in  here (on this blog) ... I figured I would find something else to throw in here and then post it - LOL

so ... what can I find in my recent photos? (well - fairly recent - the most recent ones are not on the computer yet ... I was going to do that this afternoon, but I seem to have totally run out of afternoon ... and kind of missed tea for that matter! ... I guess I probably should go and eat something ... after I post this - lol)
Ah - found something - I could have used this for a B post, had I not already done that - lol

I was walking home from work the other week (must have been the end of June, seeing that was the date on these photos) and there was a flock of pidgeons circling around over the valley I was walking in (actually I was walking over the bridge where the road goes over the creek that is in the valley) ... it looked kind of odd and eirie ... so I decided to try and take some photos as they flew overhead ... with limited success - fast flying birds in fast fading daylight leads to some very blurry photos LOL ... but I kind of like the effect I got in some of them ... like this one:


it almost looks like they were trying to draw or write something (an ampersand gone wrong maybe?)

I took a few photos, and then the birds flew UNDER the bridge (the one I had just walked over ;-)



... and they didn't come out again!!!  (well - they probably did - but most likely not until the next morning)

Yes - it seems that all that circling around was their last bit of flying around stretching their wings or whatever before settling down to roost, under the bridge, for the night! - LOL
(I guess the big metal beams under road bridges are proably a nice safe and dry place to sleep if you are a bird - lol)

er ... I was thinking of posting a bit more stuff in this post ... but had not decided what ... but - I need some food - LOL  ... so I had better go and have some tea (DS cooked something earlier - but what he and his girlfriend didn't eat - he put in a container for his lunch at work tomorrow! ... sod ... oh well - I guess this way I can cook something now, and maybe make plenty of whatever I make so I have some spare for me to take to my work tomorrow as well ;-)

somehow I don't think I am going to get much of my sewing done ... the sewing that I WAS going to do this evening, after I had done the putting photos onto the computer/etc that I WAS going to get done this afternoon ... sigh ...

btw, this afternoon I WAS also going to find some crochet photos, and take some more of things I don't have photos of, so I was ready to put them in my C post next week - maybe that can be my "brain dead" activity to do next Sunday evening after I have been busy doing all the stuff I have to do (meetings/etc/etc) this week and all the stuff I will be doing at the quilt show etc all weekend ...

one more thing B4 I go ... I just found a photo that I took at work a couple of months ago ... I took the photo when I found the 2 drink cans lying around (we use stuff like that for science lessons sometimes, so I tend to collect them, wash them, and keep a supply in a store room) ... and I looked at these particular 2 cans and my mind got to wandering, as it does, and I just couldn't help wondering ... what sort of cocktail would one get if one mixed these 2 drinks? ... and what would it be called? ...

 ... a Mother In Law?!

(actually - my mother in law was really nice ... which is more than what I can say for the probable result of mixing these 2 drinks - seeing I don't like either of them - lol)

Ah ... But ABC Wednesday is such fun ... even if I do tend to miss more letters than not lately ... sigh

Almost Anything would do I guess - something is Better than nothing? ... or not?

I had this post nicely Arranged in my head last night, while walking the dog ... but now I can't remember what I was going to Blog About - LOL

I probably have a few A and B photos from the holiday to Tasmania ... but those photos are not on the computer yet (the few I posted, in my Z post, while still on the trip were uploaded directly from the memory card - which DH's laptop has a slot for - and are still only on the memory cards ... either the couple I filled up, or the one still in the camera)

Maybe I had better stick with A first, then some B stuff?

I could be silly And blog about Avocados or Antelopes or even Avagardo's number ... but if you are really interested in those I guess you can "google" them yourself  :-)

Actually way back when I was at uni (Almost Ancient history) a group of students declared that some particular date (in about March or April) was to be known as Antelope day ... and put up posters to that effect ... and then did nothing ... until the next year, when they decided that it would be a good excuse for a huge student party ... with a contest for who could make/wear the best Antlers (which I won ;-)  ... and the prize was a pink stuffed crochet Antelope (actually it was a horse, which used to belong to one of the organisers little sister, with sticks stuck in its head to look like antlers ... the sticks fell out but I still have that pink crochet "Antelope" ... somewhere - lol)

I could post pictures of the Art quilts I just finished ... but I didn't get around to taking a photo of them yet ... And now I won't be Able to do that until I go to the quilt show where they will be hanging up for All to see ...
(because I only finished them At the last minute and had to go and deliver them ... Almost too late - lol)

What I should do is mention an Amazing Alice in Wonderland crazy quilt block that I found on someone's blog the other night - if I can remember where I found it - lol

I guess I could see if I can quickly do what I was going to do, but didn't get around to doing, last time we were up to the letter B (or was it the time Before?!) and that is to list all of my other Blogs ... the ones I post to even less often than this one - LOL
(and I was going put all the links to them in the side Bar while I was At it ... Ahhrrghh ... this is probably really Bad ... but ... why not? - this was something I drew up (very roughly, using some drawing program and the mouse - Because we didn't have a scanner yet - if we had, then I would have drawn a Better version of this and scanned it!) ... I did it several (or more) years ago, after some people on a quilting yahoogroup I am on were talking (too much?) about those Sunbonnet Sue quilts ... so I decided to come up with my own version instead - so here we have ...

And ... just to finish off - I found a good excuse to post yet another silly cat photo ... and the file name I gave the image (which actually does describe it quite well) covers the letters A and B ... and C (in case I don't post next week? ... or maybe just leading in to the next letter?)




yes there IS a Cat under that Black and Blue scarf ... she seemed quite happy to be tucked up nice and warm - lol  ... and no I didn't make that quilt - Mum made it ... and gave it to me when we were talking about what sort of quilt she could make for me and I said I liked that one - lol (her and Dad were actually travelling in their campervan at the time, and Mum had been sleeping under it ... so for the rest of their trip Mum slept under the quilt that she was still quilting - LOL) It is made from all sorts of scraps Mum had (which is what I like about it) ... some of them are bits that I have some of too (we both got them from the same person - lol) ... and it has been well used ... and getting a bit worn - it even developed a hole (where the fabric frayed on one of the seams) just near that green "windmill" to the right of the cat - so I sewed that blue heart over the hole ...


hmmm ... had I more spare time, I could have Blogged about my Background picture/etc ... maybe even made a better/diferent one and put that on here ... I suppose my C post Could be about Changing my background? LOL
Anyway (Again with that same word?! - lol) it is now after Bed time ... and I still have a load of washing to hang out, a hem to sew on the bit of fabric that is the hanging sleeve I need to sew on the quilt that I am meant to be posting tomorrow, and a shower to have ... and - I didn't have much tea and I think I am still a bit hungry ... and I am also thirsty ... so maybe I should just have a glass of milk ... or maybe a hot chocolate (if we have any cocoa/drinking chocolate/anything I can use to turn cold milk into hot chocolate yumminess)

Brrrr ... the heating has turned off for the night too ... and now I am getting cold ... and it is even colder out under the pergola where I have to go hang up that load of washing ... oh well ... I guess I will warm up in the shower ... one reason I like to shower last thing before bed - I can go to bed feeling warm, rather than having to crawl into bed feeling cold (in which case I tend to toss and turn all night and never really warm up).
And ... I really need to stop typing stuff in here and post this - it is getting too hard to keep typing around the cat ... who keeps walking around over my hands, sniffing my fingers, sitting on the mouse, etc ... and generally causing typos and then sitting in front of whatever bits of the keyboard I need to get to to fix them!

Zzzzz here, Zzzzz there ... where will I ZZZZZ tonight?

Actually ... I do know where I will be going Zzzz (except I don't snore ... even if DH does say I do - I have never heard myself snore so I guess I don't - lol) Tonight I will be sleeping here in this hotel ... the one that has free wireless internet ;-)  which I am connected to with DH's laptop ... which I am not used to typing on, but which has been very handy to have - DH has a mobile phone which will work as a modem, so he has used it/this laptop to book all of our hotels/etc the day or so before we have arrived places - his phone plan includes a small amount of internet/whatever, and he purchased a bit extra for this month, but it is probably not enough for me to spend ages and ages blogging etc ... so I decided to only do that if we have free internet anywhere ... which we do here/now (we were given a password to log on to their wirelss network, rather than using DHs phone) - so here I am now - lol

So where is here? and why are DH and I in some hotel? ... because we are on holiday down here in Tasmania (currently in a town called Somerset, which is right next to Burnie, which is on the coast along the top bit of Tasmania)... we came down here (to Tassie) for the 2 weeks I don't have to be at work (the school holidays ... back home that is - they only have 3 terms a year down here so it isn't holidays here at the moment) ... and ... we left the kids home :-)  ... well - someone had to look after the dog!

... but it is getting late at night (DH had his turn first, then I spent too long reading a few blogs/etc) and I want to stick the camera memory card in here and include a photo or 2 ... and we are here in the same place (Somerset, near Burnie) tomorrow night ... so ... time to hit the sack ...

... ok ... now it is the next night and it is probably about as late as it was when I stopped at the end of the previous paragraph - that sort of thing happens when we decide to find a nearby cinema and go see a movie and then come back to the hotel room and have cheese and biscuits for tea ... but I didn't want to post this until tonight anyway - because now the ABC Wednesday Z post is up there ready for me to add my link ... so I guess that if I am going to make this my Z post for that, then I should find a Z photo to put in here - which is why chose the particular memory card that I have put in the slot this laptop has ... it was the one I had in the camera yesterday, when we drove through the town of Zeehan ... pity I didn't actually TAKE any photos there! LOL 
... but ... this is one I took before we got there, and I think that mountain in the distance is Mount Zeehan (which the town of Zeehan is to the North of)  ...



... it probably isn't a great photo, and I am not going to worry about trying to find/use any photo editing software on here to try and make it look better because I kind of need some sleep too (DH is already snoring in bed on the other side of the room) ... but it does have sky and trees and a mountain - which I have seen lots of down here (mind you there are lots of the same home in Canberra too - but these ones are different ;-)




btw - I didn't get around to doing a W post, or X or Y ... life kind of got busy - the last 2 weeks of the school term and getting organised to come on holidays (I had stuff to pack, and stuff that had to be done before we left) ... then last week I wasn't home and didn't have free Internet in a hotel room - lol

- those are my rather cold toes after I took my shoes and socks off and paddled in the freezing cold water ... and went walking onto the even colder rocks at the end of the beach ... unfortunately it is way too cold to go swimming - in fact down here most people find it too cold to swim in the sea in the middle of Summer, let alone in the middle of Winter (which it is down here on the bottom half of the planet ...

Anyway ... it is now after Midnight ... and I still need to have a shower ... and wash out some socks and undies so I don't run out of them the day before we get home ... which is getting way too close ... I don't want the holiday to end ... although it will be nice to see the dog and the cat again (oh ... and the kids I guess - lol)  ... the dog has missed us since we have been gone ... DS said he spent the first 2 or 3 nights looking for us and whining at the bedroom door (which was open - but his people were not in there in bed) ... and the cat probably misses us too, but just doesn't let on because that would be too uncool - lol


oh hang it all ... while I am here (and the photo uploading seems to have been working so well) ... I am probably going to be rather busy for a week or 2 when I get back home ... so ... in case I miss doing an A post (or any post in the next week or 5) ... here is a photo of Port Arthur ...

a Very strange thing I made ages ago

... a Very odd title for a blog post too eh?

I was in the shower or somewhere, and my mind was wandering - trying to think of what I could post for V for ABC Wednesday ... when I remembered this ...

... several years ago (not sure how many - probably less than about 15, but definitely more than 10) I made this Very weird work of ?art

Yes ... it IS called "Violent Jam" ... it was some weird idea I came up with - weirdness is not just a recent thing with me - LOL

It is a jam jar, with a fabric cover and a ribbon, just like when one buys jars of jam at markets/etc ... but I figured a black cover and red ribbon suited the Variety of jam better than pretty floral or checked fabric or whatever one usually sees on jars of jam. As for the contents - .22 bullet "shells" (spent casings from .22 bullets) and broken glass (probably from some car windscreen) and ... doesn't show up very well in the photo but there is also a bit of cord tied into a hangman's noose ... I think I did that because I was going to include a bit of barbed wire but I didn't have any at the time. I do now - oddly enough I just picked up a few feet of it from a junk pile that used to be a fence where I was walking the dog last night! - maybe I should cut a couple of short bits and add them to the jar?
I guess posting a photo of a jam jar full of insane Violence is kind of apt for today ... seeing I heard on the news that we have lost another 3 Aussie soldiers in a war on the other side of the world ... why can't people all just get along with each other and leave each other be? (I guess if I knew an answer to that - I would be rich ... and/or famous ... and I would probably be too busy travelling the world to actually get around to blogging about letters of the alphabet ...

Uh oh! ... my half written Q post, for ABC Wednesday, is still a draft (yes - it is Under construction but still Unfinished a few weeks later! LOL) I might have to change the title and post it as another letter (at the rate I am going lately, I might just get organised in time to post it for A when we get Up to there Again). Any ideas I had for R and S and T will just have to wait for next time ... except there was one idea that could have been an R or an S post that I Really Should post about a bit sooner ... seeing I was going to post about it for C but kind of didn't get there ... I will see (C?) if I can get organised for that when we get Up to there again ;-)

in fact my old website even Used to have a sign in it saying it was permanently Under construction (not that anything that was on Geocities was permanently anything - lol  ... although mine is archived on that wayback machine webite. (not that it is worth looking at or anything ;-)

(not that it is so Usual for me to be Up late these days ... I seem to need sleep ... sigh ... )

U is also for Unusual ... which a lot of my blog posts are ...

and ... U is also for UFO  ... and yes I am interested in flying saucers and the like, but - oddly enough - that is Usually NOT what I am talking about when I talk about UFOs  - U see, I am also into quilting (and crocheting and a few other textile art related things ;-) and quilters often talk about how many UFOs they have ... and they are not talking about collecting flying saucers - UFOs are Un Finished Objects - and I have been known to sign my e-mails (on the quilt related yahoogroups I am on) with my signature and this line under it: "... who has more UFOs than all the episodes of The X Files"  ... because I think I probably DO!

... which is why, back in November, I joined in the "UFO pledge" thingy they have for Canberra Quilters ... and I nominated FOUR UFOs that I would finish by November this year ... nothing has been done on them since! LOL  ... I also nominated THREE UFOs for a similar thing a group of us from one of the yahoogroups I am on ... at least one of them was the same quilt as one of the other 4 ... and at least one wasn't ... can't remember offhand exactly what 4 I nominated for the CQ one (I think I do have it written down, but I can't be bothered getting up and looking right this minute) ...  wich means I either have 5 or 6 quilts I promised to finish this year!!!  ... I WAS going to finish one or 2 of them for the Canberra Quilters exhibition (coming up at the start of August) ... but a couple have way too much stuff to do in the time I have to do it, and with the others I wasn't sure how long they would take to finish, or what I wanted to do to finish them ... so - me being me - I STARTED some more!!!  so now I have a quilted bag (half made) and 2 small art quilts (one partly done and one barely started - I should be out doing that now!) ... and a miniature quilt (partly done, but lots of fiddly hand work) ... all needing to be finished by the end of July - LOL

Yes I should get them done - provided I actually get out to my sewing room and DO the machine sewing that needs to be done on the 2 art quilts ... then most of the rest of what has to be done on them all is a pile of hand sewing, which I will be able to do in the evenings in front of the TV

Then ... once those more urgent quilts are done (have to do those - the entry forms are in - lol  ... the UFO pledge ones are ok if I don't do them all - I can "carry over" any I don't finish to the next year ... I just don't get my name put in the draw for the prize unless I finish a quilt) I still won't get to work on those other 5 or 6 UFOs ... because I will be busy trying to make/finish at least some of the dozens of ideas I have for stuff for the exhibition for the textile art group I am also in! (and I have some very Unusual ideas for that ... fabric and yarn plants, stuffed people, mushrooms, vines ... all sorts of weird stuff - LOL ... mine you I don't think I am the only person making some Unconventional things ... the theme is "Garden Tea Party" and I have a sneaking suspicion that at least some of it is going to look like things might look if we had been actually smoking that caterpillar's pipe!)

I really should be out sewing the quilt that I was going to do when I got home this afternoon ... Unfortunately I didn't get around to it - I went visiting last night (stayed the night at a friend's place) and ended up coming home with a plastic bag of strawberry plants, and a couple other odd things like agapanthus and stuff ... so this afternoon the dog and I spent an enjoyable few hours outside in the front yard weeding and tidying up ... and planting strawberry/etc plants ... and then he still wanted to go for a nice LONG walk at Sunset ...

but ... this post looks a bit bare without photos, and because I had to send in photos of most of the stuff I entered in the quilt show (yes I did have 3 other things finished, that are also going into the quilt show) I can put photos of a couple of those UFOs in here:

This is the one I WAS going to do this afternoon (and hopefully will be able to go and do at least some of in about 10 minutes time ;-)



yes ... I "drew" on the photo - lol  ... at the time (and also now ;-) this quilt was just a bit of fabric (sitting on top of some batting and backing fabric I will use for it) and my idea ... what I am meant to be out doing now is quilting those lines I have drawn an idea of in green ... then I will cut some holes in it ... then I can hand sew around the edges of the holes and add some more stitching and beads/etc by hand while watching a TV show or 5 ...

This is another one I started ... the idea came to me about 2 days before I handed in the entry forms!



None of it is sewn together ... I just cut out all the bits and laid them out on the table ... the photo is sideways - those are the toes of my fluffy slippers on the chair that I had to stand on to get high enough above the quilt to get it all in the photo - lol (and again - I drew in a few bits to make it look more like it is going to look ... hopefully it won't take to long to do all the machine sewing bits ... then joining it all together shouldn't be too hard ... famous last words? lol)

And ... also at the last minute - I remembered that there was a creative clothing challenge (could be clothing or an accessory - like a bag or hat or whatever) ... so I started this bag - the theme is "Go Green" ... so this is a green (and black) bag with little bags/purses/phone pouch/etc to GO with it)



I actually did some of the hand stitching on this one this morning at my friend's place ... it is looking good - if everything goes as quick and easy as that bit did, I might have some spare time between finishing this stuff and the quilt show delivery date, to make a start of more of the stuff for the textile art exhibition ... (yeah - like THAT will happen - the Usual thing with my quilt show entries is that I am still stitching at least one of them the day, or even hour, before I have to deliver the stuff!)

I don't have a photo of the miniature quilt I entered - that catagory didn't need me to submit a photo ... I might have to take photos of all this stuff once it is finished, and add it to that half done Q post that I didn't post (seeing the title of it at the moment is "Quilts" - LOL) and then post it ... maybe even not as an ABC Wednesday one - lol

eek ... my evening is running out and I still have that quilting to do ... I had better post this and go do at least some of it ... or things could get Ugly - lol

Odds and sOds ... Perhaps I should Post some Photos ...

Ok ... best of good intentions here ... or something like that ... I have just posted my ABC Wednesday N post (it is Monday night as I start writing this - my N post was a bit late, as is kind of Normal for me) and figured I may as well start thinking Of something for O ... as to actually getting around to POSTING it ... that could be a whole different kettle Of fish ... my disorganised state of good intentions going nowhere fast should be Obvious to anyone who might actually read this blog ... LOL

I am glad I said that ... I did not take the Opportunity to come back in here to finish this On time for O - and it is now almost too late for my P Post as well ...

On with the Original Object of this post ... Or should that be Objects - seeing that is what the title suggests?
- I have been crocheting and sewing a few Odd things lately (some a lot more Odd than Others) and it is about time I posted about at least some of them ... which might be a bit easier if I actually take some photos, and put them Onto the computer - LOL

... if I do that in the next day or 3, then this post might actually get posted this week ... if not ... it might end up in my pile of Odds and sods that I have saved as drafts ... and who knows when any of those will see the light of day/your computer screen/whatever ... (good intentions and all that - I do want to get around to posting them, just not sure when it will happen - some of them are perfect for ABC Wednesday posts - probably because that is what they were! - and some are perfect for particular dates/times of the year/etc  ... and some are just there waiting for me to add photos, or actually type more than a few words into them ...)

Oh oh - looks like I already have an O post saved as a draft ... Oh - it's Ok - it Only has a P and an S idea in there - I must have posted whatever the O One was in an Other post - LOL ... but ... there is One problem with the P and S ideas - I am not sure I am going to have time to actually do those particualr ideas this time around - they will both involve a lot of digging around in my photos - which I probably won't have time to do in the next week or so (I can "dig" for both things at the same time, but I would need to do that digging before it is time to post the P thing) ... and they also both need me to put the latest memory card Of photos Onto the computer too ... I think I have some Other idea I can use for P ... (one I WAS thinking of using for K, but I can make it work for P)  ... and I never did remember what I Mentioned that I was going to use for J but then thinking of for M a few weeks back ... unless it was Mushrooms, but that would have only been if I had been thinking of it for F (fungi/fungus) ... because I can't think of any way to relate my photos of mushrooms to the letter J ... (and now I don't have a clue what I was talking about making work for P - LOL)
I also found an N post, that I didn't use - maybe next time around? lol and a few other Letters I didn't post (also ok ideas for next time around if I get Organised) ...

Oh for Pete's sake Andrea - get to the point! ... well that is what my Mum would probably say, IF she was actually reading my blog (which she doesn't ... unless I e-mail her a copy of the posts - then she might read it - lol)

... we had been for a morning walk (not a usual thing for me, but DH and the dog often go just before I get up and get ready for work ... then when he gets back he makes me a coffee ;-)
anyway - it was a damp and dewy morning (but I will Spare you the Spider web photos until we get to the letter S ... or later ... LOL) and he was all wet ... so I think the cat decided he needed some help, and was trying to lick him dry!

and ... On the same day (later than the previous one - just before the olive one I think), I took this one:

I was actually Outside eating (and taking photos of) my lunch (left over Pizza - Perfect!) and ended up taking a Pile of Photos (as Often happens) but I won't throw any more up here - this Post is now Probably long enough, and it is rather late (and I have to work in the morning - ugh)

yes - Pretty Peculiar! ... I made some crochet Plants, and mushrooms ... not sure if they are shitaki or just ... something else ... lol 
The thingy that the hook is in is meant to be a brain fungus of some sort ... I guess that one could be forgiven for thinking that I probably have fungus in my brain?
btw - the theme was "Somewhere in my world" ... so I just had to Put my blog on the computer screen - lol
The exhibition will probably be up here shortly - I am a member of the yahoogroup (link to that is at the bottom of that page) ... but I am not very active on it ... just happened to pop in and check out what was happening at the right time to notice that they were collecting entries for the next online exhibition, and I was already planning on making some crochet plants/etc for something else (later this year - so the things in the photo will most likely be added to/etc and then used for that as well).

anyway ... Perhaps I should Post this ... before you all get P....d off with this Peculiar/Putrid Pink text ... (which could end up being imPossible to read on the Pale blueish background I currently have on this blog)

Now - how can Wednesday ABC be up to the letter N already?!

I am sure it was just a few weeks ago we were up to J ... which would be the last thing I posted here until Now ... I seen to have Not got around to posting for a while ... so all 2 of you (I could have said Nine, but I am not sure that many people ever look at this blog ;-) who come here have had Nothing New to look at ...

Nothing is wrong ... and it is Not that I have had Nothing to post about ... I just have Not got around to posting anything ... kind of been busy doing other things ... like going to work, going out, crocheting weird stuff in front of the TV ... tidying up/sorting out my sewing room, and the rest of the house (still) ... even having visitors to stay for a few days (Not a Normal occurance around here - DH is not into the whole "having people come and visit" thing ... but he can't really say No to my parents - LOL)

Now ... what should I actually post about ... besides the fact that I have been posting a whole lot of Nothing lately - lol

hmmm ... maybe something I missed for K, L or M and can make it do for another letter?

For K I think I was going to post about Knots or something ... knots in my crocheting most likely ... couldn't really post about Knitting because I had not done anything ... None of that fits the letter N aNyway ...
for L ... er ... Lots of rain was one idea I had (which was something I could have posted for F, but didn't post that, or the other idea I had), before even more time slipped away and I realised it was too late to post that one because it was time for M ... not sure I had anything particular in Mind for that one ... except Maybe to tell you all I am Mad as a March hare ... or something - which anyone reading My blog probably already knows ... No real ideas there either ...

I did go back and look at what I wrote for my last post (the J one) ... and I Noticed that I Mentioned having something in Mind that could have been done for J but would work better for M ... but I don't have a clue what that was! (I Might think of it again later ... or I Might Not ... )

and that URL reminds me of another N thing ... Noo Noo I think it is called - the vacuum cleaner from the Teletubbies TV show! ... Now that is a totally weird TV show ... possibly even a bit Naughty ... and full of stuff that makes even me say "WTF?" ... and it takes some extreme weirdness for Me to think that about something - LOL
(the only Weirder TV show I have seen was the similar type of show I saw on TV in Turkey! ... was in Turkish, but still sounded the same ... lol)

[a day or 3 passes by]

I got up to do something else, and never got back in here ... then went out the next day, didn't come home that night (stayed at a friend's place on the other side of town - not that it is a really long drive home, but sleeping there meant I could have a beer or 4 because I didn't have to drive home ;-) then when I got home DH and I went out for tea, and I never got around to coming in here ...

and ... now I am going again for an hour or 3 ... or longer - DH just came in here and said it is time to go and get fish and chips ... that was planned earlier, but I was expecting a few minutes notice rather than "time to go go right now"! LOL

I am glad I said the "or longer" bit - it is now the next day ... DH won't be dragging me away to go get fish and chips this time - he is at work (he works weird shifts) ... besides - the fish and chip shop we go to isn't open tonight ... the fish and chips were yummy, btw ...
... so were the 2 beers I washed them down with - lol
Then I had a coffee ... and continued crocheting some strange plant thingy I am making while watching a few TV shows with DH ... then it was bed time ... then I did ... er ... not a lot of anything much really ... today - including getting lost reading some e-mail and a few odd blogs/etc, when I probably should have been walking the dog (which I will probably go and do when I have posted this ;-)

Now where was I?
- probably raving on about Nothing, which is quite Normal for me ...

I did think of aNother N thing while I was out and about on Friday (in between writing the first bit of this blog post, and the last 2 bits) - so this post is Now brought to you by Neighbourhood groups, Nice people, and the Number Nineteen ...

None of that made any sense did it - lol - let me exlplain - on Friday I went to have coffee and visit an art gallery with a group of (Nice) people who also belong to the textile art group that I belong to (meetings that they often have, but I mostly can't go to because I am at work - but being school holidays - I was not at work so I could go) and the place we met was actually "down" on the South side of town (I live up on the Northern end of Canberra) and it was in an area I used to go to a lot, because we used to live down that way before we bought our own house on the other side of town - and I remembered that there was a group I used to go to there, that met on Fridays (I was involved with it for a few years, until I went back to work, a year or 2 before we moved house)... and it was run by a really nice person, who I found out was still running the group (called the Tuggeranong Women's Neighbourhood Group) ... and so I dropped in for a quick 10 minute visit on my way to meet the others at the coffee shop - and found the group were in the middle of cleaning up the remains of a table full of party food - they had just been celebrating the group's Nineteenth birthday - LOL

btw, one of the things the group did while I was part of it was to make a quilt - they had already started it when I joined, but there was time for me to make a block to add to it (in fact I made 2!) ... then the person who was going to put it all together kind of vanished and left it to "someone else" ... so I ended up helping put the thing together as well - and this was before I had actually made any quilts of my own! - but I had dabbled in all sorts of crafty stuff, and had recently joined a quilting yahoogroup and had been reading lots of quilt books and websites and stuff - so I knew more about it than anyone else in the group did - so they decided I was the "expert" - LOL

Now ... I think this post kind of Needs a photo or 2 ...

oh - I forgot about this one - something looks Not quite right here:



If I had known I was going to be in such famous company I would have worn something a bit more neat and tidy, and brushed my hair! LOL - I cropped this (to remove bystanders who might not want to be on my blog ;-) from a photo I downloaded off the US embassy website - I was at some festival thingy in town a month or 2 ago and they had a stand/display there - and they were doing this Nutty thing where they took people's photos with these Nice friendly cardboard cutouts - for those of us who probably won't ever get anywhere Near the real president of the U S of A ... silly thing is - I actually stood there and got mine taken, and then went and downloaded a copy, so that I could send/show it to Mum (which I then forgot to do - lol) - becuause (and this is the silly bit) just over a year ago Mum and I actually spent a day AVOIDING him! ... well - it was actually our tour guide who was doing the avoiding - and we would not have got anywhere near him if we had tried - becuase it just happened that the bus tour we were on was in Ankara, in Turkey, on the exact same day that he was! - and our tour guide had to spend most of the day making frantic phone calls and re-adjusting our schedule so that we could avoid all the road blocks and detours/etc so that we could actually get to see all the places we were meant to be going to, rather than spend half the day stuck at road blocks while "Mr President" was visiting them. (but a few days later, when we were in Istanbul, we got to visit the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque the day after he did - and I got to pat the same cat that he had patted the day before - not sure what the poor cat thought about all the fuss though - everyone wanted to see it because apparently it was all over the news the day Obama patted it)

(Actually the day avoiding Obama would have made a good M post, had I done one - because one of the places we went was Mustafa Kemal Attaturk's Mausoleum ... and it was a Majestic building with Military Men guarding it ... and I took lots of photos because it was quite a Memorable place ... but I didn't - so I might have to include it in an A post, for Attaturk and Ankara and Avoiding roadblocks, instead ...)

Seems I am Not getting much (any, for that matter) sewing done today ... there is very little of "today" left and here I am getting lost in blogland ... (it doesn't help that I am doing my usual thing - I have several browser tabs open and am looking at all sorts of other stuff on the www in between writing bits of this blog post - LOL)

btw ... one of the blogs I have been visiting regularly is this one - what Not to crochet - LOL ... some ... er ... Not so Nice items of crochet on there (many of which could neatly fit under the title I gave this blog post) ... some of them are so ugly that they might even make one a little ... Nauseous ... lol
(some of the things on there are not too bad, but some are just Nasty to look at! ... and quite a lot of them seem to involve things that might have been nice except for the fact that one can see a Nipple poking out between the stitches! ... hope that was not to Naughty of me to mention that?)

N is also for Night ... I often walk the dog at Night (probably should be doing that now - lol) ... and I often take photos at Night ... I am Not sure I am that good at it ... but this one kind of looks Nifty:

I was going to fiddle with the brightness and stuff before I uploaded it, but I decied that I liked it better as it was, so all I did to this one was re-size it (the original was huge, so I made it a bit smaller - but still quite large if you click on it)

then I decided to have a fiddle, just for fun:

- I cropped it to get the bit I wanted to play with, and fiddled with the contrast and brightness and stuff until I liked how it looked - kind of like some deadly cloud of fire rolling in above the Tsumami that is about to wipe out the village on the beach ... or something like that ... lol
Maybe I have been watching too many movies/etc about the end of the world/disasters/etc?
(no - there is actually no fire, or beach/sea/ocean, in the original photo - the orange in the clouds was from the city lights and the stuff that looks a bit like surf/waves is actually another layer of cloud that is not reflecting the orange lights like the closer patch of cloud is ... the nearest sea/ocean is 2 or 3 hours drive from here)

Now ... I could keep trying to find more photos, and/or think of some Nifty N ideas that I have Not Nattered about yet (iNcluding but Not limited to Nasturtiums, Native plants, Nature, Names, Nuts, Noodles, Notices, Netting, and Never getting around to things ... ) but I think I had better just post this Now - as it is nearly time to post Our O posts!

Night Night ...

Journalling ... which I Just don't seem to get around to doing as soon/often as I wanted/meant to ...

... which means that I probably Just missed out on being able to add it to the mcklinky thingy for ABC Wednesday ... because it is now closed ... we were up to the letter J last week ... and it is now nearly this Wednesday (which Kind of means I need to think of something for K ... if I actually get around to writing a K post, that is)
I WAS going to do a J post about something I have been crocheting ... I even took photos for it - but I have not put the photos onto the computer yet ... so I decided not to do that one until later ... they should actually work better as an M post anyway (it will make sense when I actually write that post - lol)
I guess I have Just been a bit busy ... and Just a bit distracted by other things when I do come in here - been reading bits of a few other blogs and stuff, and a few things in posts on some of the yahoogroups I am on ... seems a lot of people are/have been talking about Journalling, and/or about blogging ... and why they do one and/or the other ... and I have been thinking about why I blog, when I never was the sort of person to keep a diary, and I am not even that good at keeping a visual diary for all my textile art ideas and stuff ... but I guess my blog is my Journal - in fact that is kind of why I started blogging - I was writing all sorts of odd stuff in e-mails I was posting to a few yahoogroups I am on (quilting and crochet related ones mostly) and I was raving on about either how I did things I had done, or what I thought about various stuff ... and I realised that a blog would be a good place to put all that kind of stuff all together in one place ...
... so I started this blog ... and put a few of the things here (some of my earlier posts about the 2003 bushfires and stuff, for example) ... and I still have not got around to putting a few of the other things here ...
... but I have been blogging about all sorts of odd stuff and have had fun doing it ... but I Just never seem to get around to posting as often as I would like to ...
(which was half the reason for Joining in the ABC Wednesday thing ... the other half was that it sounded like fun - and it is ;-)
Trouble is - when life gets busy I don't always have time to post, so sometimes I have a really good idea for something to post about (either for ABC Wednesday, or about something I have done/seen/whatever) and I "write" a really good blog post in my head (well - maybe it is actually only "really good" in my head, and would actually be boring if I wrote it?! lol) ... but I never actually get around to typing it in here and posting it!

I also realised, while walking home from work today (first time I have done that, but probably should do it more often - trouble is - work and home are not that close to each other and it took me almost 2 hours! ... but I did take LOTS of interesting photos - lol) ... er - where was I? - oh - I realised, while walking, and thinking, and taking photos of odd things - that another version of journalling for me is taking photos!

er ... I actually "wrote" some of this post in my head while walking home this afternoon  ... but at the moment I think my "train of thought" seems to have been de-railed ...
(so ... in the interest of getting OFF the B#$%&^%^& computer and doing the other stuff I have to do - I am not even going to read through this before I post it ... so too bad if there are any typos/etc or if it doesn't actually make sense ... it doesn't have to - it is MY Journal/blog - LOL)

that, and I really do have other things I should be doing right now - like hanging up a load of washing, putting on another load of washing, unhanging the dry load of washing I hung up last night ... and a bit of picking stuff up/putting away/etc ... and I never even started the other stuff I WAS going to do before DH gets home from work (which could be anytime now, seeing he arrives home at about this time or a few minutes later) ... so I guess I had better post this and go and start doing all those other boring things I have to do ...

Busy with work and other stuff ... and Blogging kind of fell by the wayside, along with my B post, which I also started writing, that was going to Be about the other blogs I have (and post to even less than this one) and a heap of stuff like that - But it will Be a while Before I get time to dig out all the links and other odd things I was planning to put in there - so that will be at least next time around the

(I just figured that seeing I was actually logged in here - noticed they have added a thingy where one can have other pages on blogger blogs, and had to come and check it out - I probably should post something so that all 1 or 2 of the people who actually read this blog will know that I do still exist, and I am not Indisposed - just Inefficient ... and kind of Ignoring my blog while I do some other stuff  ... which I should be doing some of now, Instead of fiddling around on the Internet)

I just noticed, when I was logging in to yahoo, that they have changed stuff with profiles and stuff again ... and (in an attempt to compete with all the other similar sites, like farceblerk etc) not only do they have a tweety thingy on there (which I found a couple weeks back) the profile page also has a place to blog ... so I blogged something on there .

I suppose I should go and actually DO what I was signing in to yahoo for - LOL
(I needed to sign in so I could look at some photos someone put up on one of the (too many) yahoogroups I am a member of ;-)

... and once I have done that, I should go and do something else besides getting lost in cyberspace again.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Z is for ZZZZZZzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz ... which I should be doing at this hour of night ... but ... I wanted to do my Wednesday ABC post, and I am on holidays from work and don't have to get up early in the morning ... so I have kind of ended up sliding into a time zone where is a couple hours earlier than here ... in fact dare I admit it here? - yes why not - as far as I know Mum never reads my blog anyway ... probably more than a couple hours in a different time zone at the moment actually ... seeing I kind of accidentally stayed up a bit too late last night and ended up going to bed even later than the "wee small hours" - I think one could definitely say I went to bed at "stupid o'clock"  - and I am definitely living up to my blog title at the moment - because I actually crawled into bed as the sun was coming up!
(and I STILL took half an hour or more to get to sleep because DH was snoring - not quite ZZZZZ ... but zzzzzzzz ... which are probably worse becuase they go on for longer - when he does loud ZZZ he tends to wake himself up and stop).

now - what other Z thing(s) should I mention? Zen? ... I am sure one can search the WWW and find out all about that ... and a lot of other Z things too ...

Surely there must be some place I have been to that starts with a Z ... like Zamalek - which is a suburb of Cairo - I was there in April ... I wish I could afford to go back there (to see a couple of things I know about that I didn't find the first time) ... and/or to all the other places in the world I want to go to but have not been to ... sigh ...

This might have been in Zamalek ... or it may have been nearby ... I can't remember right now and would need the map I was using over there to work it out (I had a quick look but couldn't find one that had the suburb names in English and looked the same online, and the paper one I was using over there could be anywhere - most likely in the bedroom where DH is asleep and I should be - lol)



The sheep were lying around on the footpath where Mum and I were walking around (near the hotel we wee staying in ... which is why I need the map - I can't remember what suburb the hotel was in but I can find it on that particular map)
They were there on more than one day when we were going past there ...

- they have a water trough, and they probably get fed there too.
On the other side of the road was a tiny shop, too small to swing a cat in - about half the size of this room (4th bedroom/office) and that is including the counter and the space behind it ... it was a squeeze to find standing room if there were 3 customers in there at the same time! ... and to go in there one had to go down a few very steep steps, because the floor level was 1m (3') lower than the footpath outside ... but the reason I went in was because there were balls of cotton crochet/etc yarn stacked up against the window - yes I bought some ... then I went back later and bought some more (one way to use up those few odd pounds and piastres that were too small to be able to change back to Aussie money ;-)  I even bought a couple of balls of yarn, from that shop, that were made in Turkey - which is where we went just before we were in Egypt - lol

I found out about some of the interesting things in Egypt/Cairo (some that I did find/see and some that I didn't) from someone I know (we know each other through both online quilt groups and the fact that we are both members of Canberra Quilters) who actually spent a while living in Zamalek - her blog is here http://jennybowker.blogspot.com/ ... she started the blog when she went over there, but has kept blogging here and there ever since ... but unfortunately she didn't know how to put the map there, that she just put there recently ... so Mum and I ended up being right next to one place I wanted to go, without knowing where it was or realising how close to it we actually were. ( I guess I will have to think of some way of making lots of money so I can go back there again ... and/or to all the other places I want to go to!)


Z is also for ZZ plant (no not ZZ Top - they are a rock group - lol)
... I was going to do some "googling" sometime and see if I could find an interesting plant or animal or something with a Z name to do this post about - but some kind person saved me the trouble today! - someone on the freecycle e-mail list (go to http://www.freecycle.org/ to find out what that is all about) just happens to be giving away some plants - and one of them is a Zamioculcas zamiifolia, otherwise known as a ZZ plant (due to it's name being such a mouthful I guess - lol) ... so all I had to do was copy and paste that name into the search box and I now know the name of, and some stuff about, yet another interesting member of the plant kingdom! (there is some more info about it here http://www.plant-care.com/zz-zamioculcas-zamiifolia.html ... or search the www for it and you will find all sorts of stuff ... in fact there is a google search thingy in my side bar - I put it there a while back because I thought someone might find it useful - lol)

... but what is really weird is - I got a really good laugh out of the page I have sent you to with that first link - I noticed from the URL that it is part of the website belonging to a company that hires/does all sorts of things here in Australia ... but I just had to laugh when I realised that a company called RentoKILL is into hiring out (live) plants for people's offices/etc!

Now I have got 2 good laughs related to that same company ... the other one was many years ago, and it is a bit weirder and maybe not the sort of thing everyone would find funny (so apologies if you find this a bit stupid/tasteless - just skip to the next paragraph ;-)  I was talking to some bloke I knew somewhere, and he was wearing a Rentokil company shirt ... so I asked if he worked there and he said no ... so silly me asked how come he had the shirt - turns out that a mate gave him the shirt in return for a favour ... and the "favour" was to go into the female toilets (in some office building or somewhere) and "borrow" one of those sanitary disposal bins (another thing that company does/did was to provide and empty sanitary waste bins) ... and the reason the person wanted the bin was so he could then put it on another mates front lawn,on his birthday, as a temporary addition to his collection of garden gnomes ...

Talking about plants ... I think it was last time we were up to the letter Z - I posted something about Zygocactus ... and I just happen to have one sitting in a pot near the front door (I kind of meant to do something about finding a nice pot and a good place to put it when someone gave it to me ages ago, but I have not got around to it yet) ... and as DH and I were heading out to walk the dog I noticed that it is flowering - so I took a photo ...




I was going to crop the photo but A: it didn't look good when I did it and B: I figured the photo shows that I have some Zany stuff in the garden!  (if you want to get a better look at the actual zygocactus flowers the photo, like all the others on here, should be a clickable link to a bigger version)

Talking about photos and Zany, Z is also for some of the Zany things I do to some of my photos when i mess around with them on the computer. I did this ...



... the other day.

I gave the photo the file name of "BehindBlueEyes-oncewasatree.jpg" ... the second half of that name was so that I could tell what photo it was that I started with - because it now looks nothing at all like the photo of a tree that I started with!
Hmmm ... I wonder what folder the original photo was in?

[find it and put photo here? ...    no - I don't know what folder I found it in and am not going looking for it now! ... nor am I going hunting for the photos I have that ARE dog fur, rather than just look like it - I might remember to find them later and do "D for dog fur" or something - now it is time to post this and go get some sleep - lol ]

I can't end the Alpabet without at least one more gratuitous scary looking spider photo - so Z is for ... er ... Zoology? ... the Zen of being a spider?



... and if those are not what you call valid exuses for posting a spider picture in my Z post - then consider it a preview for my next ABC Wednesday post (because as far as I know, we are going Around Again, for the 5th time I think) when we start the Alphabet Again with the letter A

(... And because spiders are Arachnids and I might just be too tempted to do A for Arachnid ... Again! )

Anyway ... it it zzzzzzzzzzzzz time (well and truly - 4am - where did the time go?) and I still have some other stuff I WAS going to do before I went to bed (like try and find my glue gun so I can take it somewhere tomorrow afternoon/evening, and also go and dig my bits of crochet teapot, and the load of washing I threw them in with, out of the washing machine, to see if the crochet bits felted or not, and put them somewhere so they can dry so that I can join the bits together ... "crochet what?" ... er ... I guess I will have to take photos and post about that sometime in the next week or so?)  and ... I have at least one more photo that needs to be added to this post - but I still have not even put that Zygocactus photo onto the computer so I guess I will have to finish doing this post tomorrow  [which I just did] ... which is probably ok because I think I am actually still a little bit early (or the person who puts the thingy up for us to add our link to is a bit late?)

Yikes! ... is it really 2010 already?!

It only seems like a year or 2 ago that we were all worried about the year 2000 and the Y2K bug ...
In fact it doesn't seem like that long ago that I was being amazed by the fact that I had studied the book "1984" in high school english classes and it was 1984 already ... but on the other hand that also feel like it was 100 years ago ... odd the way my memory works ... lol

Now ... for ABC Wednesday ... we are up to the letter Y ... and there are probably lots of people posting aboout the new Year ... so what else should I rave on about?

er ... maybe just the letter Z seeing it is time to post that one in a few hours!

or I could get all weird and rave on about "Y are we here?" or somesuch ... but I don't know the answer to that - except that we are here because the world has not ended ... Yet - LOL

Yes - Y do so many people think something big is going to happen in 2012?

and Y worry? - it doesn't seem like there is much we can actually DO about it ...

maybe I should start a religion? (or maybe I already did? - seeing I used to have some weird website called "The Prophet Aykayem" ... it was on some free websites thingy that kind of doesn't exist any more ... and it had a couple of weird things I wrote back when I was a teenager, and was going to have some of my poetry on it but I never got there ... I did have plans to re-do that page and actually finish it how I was originally planning to, but I have not got around to it yet ... when (if) I do it will probably be another blog ... but the only posts on it will be the poems and stuff that I have written over the years

Yes - it will be another blog ... I just realised that I probably should make sure the URL I wanted to have was actualy available - it was ... so I used it - LOL ( so I now have a very boring empty blog sitting waiting at http://theprophetaykayem.blogspot.com/ ... one day ... year? ... I will actually set it all up and then sometime after that I can put all the poems and stuff there ... once I get around to FINDING it all - lol)

Maybe I should mention the Y generation ... seeing I have 2 of those creatures (teenage kids) living here ... LOL

and I can't not mention Yahoogroups ... in fact I was going to post a list of the Yahoogroups I am on ... but I won't - there are about 50 of them! ... I am set to "no mail" on more than half of those (I joined to see what they were like and never had time to keep up with that many - so I just stayed active on a few really good/interesting ones) ... actually, I have been a member of a couple of Yahoogroups since before the even were Yahoogroups! (back when it was called e-groups, before Yahoo took it over ... in fact before they were even on e-groups - one was on a private server but it got too big for it - had 600 members when I joined and ended up with about 1200 ... it is a quilting list and it is only for Australian and NewZealanders or people who have lived here. The other one is a crochet list that used to be on something called Onelist). I am also active on a couple of newer groups too ... a couple of art quilt ones and a couple others that are actually part of the big quilting list. I mention them in some of my posts sometimes, if what I am posting about relates to one - lol

Y is also for Youtube ... I have a couple of odd videos there ... I put them there so I could put them in this blog! (before one could add videos to posts on blogger without having to put them somewhere else first)

I am still trying to work out why so many people seem to look at, and comment on my silly video of a kangaroo! (I had a quick look but I can't find the blog post at the moment - but the video is here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkvfapchuSg )
some people have put some really weird comments on there too!
... not all nice ones either - but it doesn't bother me - that is to be expected when one sticks stuff somewhere like that - I think a lot of people must find it when they are searching for those silly videos of things getting zapped/electrocuted/etc that seem to be all over youtube. (they must be so disapointed when all they find is a kangaroo noncholantly wandering around ... and walking under the electric fence ... and just being a typical kangaroo ... )

anyway ... I am not getting any Younger ... so I should not still be UP at this hour! (oops - talking about Up - the sun is about to come up I think! - it is starting to get a bit light outside! oops!)

not only should I have been doing my ZZZZZZ post by now - I should be in bed doing ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ as well!

actually it is DH who makes the ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ... I don't snore - I have never heard myself snore yet! LOL
